If you’re looking for a sport that combines the grace of dance, the flexibility of gymnastics and the discipline of competitive training, Carolyn’s School of Rhythmic Gymnastics (CSRG) is one of Malaysia’s leading rhythmic gymnastics academies. Founded in 2010 by former Malaysian national gymnast and Commonwealth Games gold medallist Carolyn Au Yong, the academy has built a strong reputation for developing young gymnasts of all abilities—from beginners discovering the sport for the first time to athletes competing at national and international levels.
CSRG welcomes children aged 4 years and above, offering programmes that cater to both recreational and competitive gymnasts. Beginners are introduced to the fundamentals of rhythmic gymnastics through fun, structured lessons that develop flexibility, coordination, balance and body awareness. As students progress, they learn routines using rhythmic gymnastics apparatus such as the ribbon, hoop, ball, clubs and rope, while building strength, musicality and technical precision.
One of the academy’s greatest strengths is its experienced coaching team. Many of the coaches are former state and national gymnasts who have represented Malaysia at major international competitions, bringing a wealth of competitive experience to every class. Training places equal emphasis on technical excellence, discipline, teamwork and character development, creating a positive environment where children are encouraged to challenge themselves while enjoying the sport.
Students also have opportunities to participate in grading assessments, local competitions and performances as they develop their skills. Whether your child simply wants to stay active and gain confidence or dreams of competing at a higher level, CSRG provides a structured pathway that supports long-term growth and achievement.
